The birth and development of Modern Pranic Healing and Arhatic Yoga is credited to Master Choa Kok Sui(MCKS). A successful businessman of chinese-filipino descent, he created a new standard in the field of energetic medicine. 

Being a chemical engineer and a successful businessman, he spent more than 30 years of his life doing research on the esoteric sciences and ancient healing techniques, experimenting and examining them to develop the concepts, principles, practical applications and techniques of Pranic Healing. 

Master Choa Kok Sui was born on August 15th, 1952 in Cebu city, Philippines in a multi-faith environment which further helped him to pursue the spiritual path from a young age. He authored more than 20 books, some of which have been published in 27 languages and read in over 90 countries worldwide. He also taught over 20 different courses on Pranic Healing, Arhatic Yoga, and higher spiritual courses around the world. 

He standardized these courses, which continue to be taught by licensed instructors around the world. Master Choa Kok Sui also founded and funded several charitable foundations in several countries These charitable foundations continue his humanitarian missions to date. 

His courses are designed to empower students to create more balance, success, and harmony across various aspects of their life through the application of energetic principles.  For seekers on the spiritual path, Master Choa has developed a system of practices leading to greater self-realization known as Arhatic Yoga. Arhatic Yoga is a non-sectarian synthesis of various yogic practices—devised to safely accelerate the spiritual development of each individual. 

For 20 years, he traveled non-stop—personally teaching students all over the world. He passed away on March 19, 2007, but his classes and teachings continue through his global organizations – The Institute for Inner Studies and World Pranic Healing Foundation. The work is focused on compassion, healing, spirituality and moving humanity to a more conscious realization of the subtle realms. The philanthropic arm of the organization ,MCKS Charitable Foundation ,runs feeding programs in various countries, funds medical assistance for poor patients and contributes to disaster relief throughout the world.
